The EW150C was manufactured by Volvo Construction Equipment but is fundamentally a development of the Åkerman EW150 — sharing the same construction, chassis and core hydraulics. When Volvo acquired the VME group in the mid-1990s, production continued in Eslöv with essentially the same machine under a new badge.
